Tudor Upgrade

A former hunting lodge turned family home was ready for a kitchen upgrade. In collaboration with Peter LaBau of Goodhouse LLC, Bella Design Studio extended an exterior wall to open the kitchen and strengthen its connection to the casual dining nook.

Staying true to our “outside in” approach, original details were preserved and reinterpreted: window profiles were replicated, and a salvaged Tudor arch from the demolished porch was integrated into a custom built-in hutch, an on-site discovery that prompted a mid-project cabinetry redesign.

To balance two existing structural beams, complementary faux beams were added, restoring proportion and quiet rhythm overhead.
